Silicone Insulation Sleeves for Jumpers, Bare Conductors Press-Lock Conductor Cover | Overhead Line Insulation Sleeve – Bird & Animal Protection, Non-Tracking (up to 33kV)
Built for utilities, substations, and industrial power lines, the Centroid Polymer Silicone Press-Lock Conductor Cover slips over bare overhead conductors and locks shut by hand — adding a durable layer of insulation that guards against phase-to-phase and phase-to-ground faults caused by birds, animals, and debris. Moulded from high-quality non-tracking HTV silicone rubber, it withstands sun, ozone, and corona for years of outdoor service.
Key features
- ⚡ Phase-to-phase & phase-to-ground protection — insulates exposed conductors to prevent flashovers and animal-caused outages
- 🐦 Bird & animal guard — stops squirrels, snakes, and birds from bridging live conductors
- 🔒 Press-lock (interlocking) design — fold over the conductor so the groove and lock align, press by hand to seal; no heat, no special tools
- ☀️ UV, ozone & corona resistant — non-tracking silicone rated for long-term outdoor exposure
- 🌡️ Wide temperature range — stable from −40°C to +200°C
- 💧 Weatherproof & anti-tracking — resists erosion, aging, and surface tracking in polluted/coastal environments
- 🔧 Field-installable & reusable — quick retrofit on energized-adjacent lines during maintenance windows

Typical applications: overhead distribution & transmission lines, substation jumpers and busbars, transformer terminals, cut-out and jumper connections, and any bare-conductor point needing animal-contact and flashover protection.
Installation: position the open sleeve over the bare conductor so the groove and lock face each other, then press the seam together along its length until it clicks closed. [Add: "apply silicone sealant in the lock channel before pressing" if your design requires it.]
Why Centroid Polymer: manufactured in-house from certified silicone compounds with consistent quality control, backed by our range of silicone insulation products for the power sector.
