Engineered for applications where heat and fire safety cannot be compromised, this 3mm fire-retardant silicone rubber sheet delivers dependable sealing, gasketing, and insulation performance while resisting ignition and self-extinguishing once the flame source is removed. Manufactured from high-grade VMQ silicone, it stays flexible and stable across a wide temperature range that would harden, crack, or melt ordinary rubber.
Supplied as ready-to-use precut sheets in 300×300mm and 450×450mm, in blue, red, and yellow for easy colour-coding of lines, zones, or safety categories. The sheet cuts cleanly with a knife or scissors, so it's easy to fabricate into gaskets, pads, and liners on site — no special tooling required.
Why it performs
Flame-retardant silicone holds a high Limiting Oxygen Index, meaning it needs an oxygen-rich environment to keep burning and self-extinguishes in normal air. Unlike many plastics, it does not drip flaming material and produces low smoke and low toxic-gas emissions when exposed to fire — a key reason it is specified in enclosed and public environments. It also resists UV, ozone, and weathering, so it performs outdoors and in high-exposure industrial settings without degrading.
